About the Role

As a Product Application Engineer, you play a key role in handling complex internal and external customer inquiries. You act as a trusted technical expert, understanding and translating customer needs and application requirements into compliant, reliable, and value‑adding solutions. You provide advanced technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle, from pre‑sales support to post‑sales support and continuous product improvement.

By combining deep technical expertise with strong communication skills, you contribute directly to customer satisfaction, product quality, and Allgon’s success in the market.

This role is based in Björbo, Dalarna, and reports to Site Manager Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements to define and develop customized product solutions
• Provide technical support to customers across pre‑sales, delivery, and post‑sales phases
• Conduct product training for internal stakeholders and drive knowledge‑sharing for continuous competence development across the organization
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Product, R&D, Sales, and Aftermarket to ensure market‑ready solutions
• Contribute to product development and improvements by providing customer insights and technical feedback
• Collaborate with R&D to develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and user manuals
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost Efficiency

Key qualifications include:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, or similar) or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience from a similar role in application engineering or technical support in an industrial environment
• Strong ability to understand customer applications and manufacturing processes
• Experience with or strong interest in radio remote control products and system solutions is highly advantageous
• Solid knowledge and understanding of PLC programming
• Programming skills in Assembly, .NET C#, and/or C is an advantage
• Strong analytical and structured approach to work and problem solving with the ability to handle complex technical challenges
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
