Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Area Head of Customs for the Nordics to shape the future of customs across the region. You will lead a large, multi-country team and drive transformation to improve customer outcomes and regulatory excellence.

In this senior role you will own strategic direction, governance and ongoing performance across financial, operational and compliance metrics, while inspiring teams amid a rapidly evolving trade landscape.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience within a multinational and complex business environment.
• Proven success leading large, geographically dispersed organisations through leaders.
• Experience delivering business transformation, cultural change and performance improvement at scale.
• Strong commercial and operational leadership capability with balance of growth, efficiency, risk and customer outcomes.
• Ability to influence across a matrix organisation with diverse stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of Customs, international trade and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Nordic Customs strategy aligned with customer needs and priorities.
• Own overall business performance across financial, operational and customer measures.
• Drive transformation initiatives and modernise ways of working within Customs.
• Lead a multi-country organisation of ~400 colleagues and develop leadership capability.
• Represent Customs within the Nordic leadership team and ensure governance and compliance.
