Amazon in Eskilstuna is seeking a Network Deployment Build Lead to drive the expansion and deployment of next‑generation networking in our data centers. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or a relevant certification with hands-on networking experience.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with network cabling standards, optic types, and testing tools.
  • Very good command of English, both written and spoken.

  • Scaling support of several data center locations.
  • Responsible for day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate rollout of designs and products.
  • Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.
  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
  • Troubleshoot cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
  • Participate in migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.

Network Deployment Build Lead (Network Technician), AWS DC Global Network Delivery

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to keep customers continuously connected. We are looking to hire a Network Technician to join our team within network infrastructure deployment. You will work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the expansion of our next‑generation networks. You should be highly autonomous, detail‑oriented, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. You must support large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks and have proven documentation methodology. The desire and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment is essential.

Key job responsibilities

  • Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking completed for new equipment

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant certification, combined with hands‑on experience in networking deployment and cabling infrastructure best practices
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls
  • Familiarity with network cabling standards, optic types, and testing tools such as VFL, power meter, and OTDR
  • Very good command of English, both written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comfortable working on small to medium, and slightly complex projects in ambiguous environments; strong prioritization, time management, and analytical judgment under pressure
  • Solid understanding of Ethernet, IP networking, and fabric‑based network design; experience in large‑scale data center network implementations and virtualized enterprise environments
  • Familiar with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR); strong troubleshooting and support background
  • Awareness or knowledge of IT best practice frameworks such as ITIL, LEAN, AGILE, and Operational Excellence principles
  • Comfortable working directly with customers during problem resolution; able to travel within the region, with occasional travel beyond traditional work areas
