Amazon Data Services Sweden AB seeks a Network Technician to join our team focused on network infrastructure deployment across data centers. You will work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, driving expansion of next-generation networks with strong documentation practices and stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires hands-on experience with networking deployment, cabling infrastructure, and VPN/enterprise networking concepts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant certification; hands-on experience in networking deployment and cabling infrastructure best practices.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with network cabling standards, optic types, and testing tools such as VFL, power meter, and OTDR.
  • Very good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Scale support of several data center locations.
  • Assist with capacity management on a day-to-day basis.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and external vendors for fast rollout of designs and products.
  • Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.
  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
  • Troubleshoot cabling infrastructure connectivity issues including patch panels and patch cords.
  • Participate in migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
  • Specify Power and Cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.

We are looking to hire Network Technician to join our team within network infrastructure deployment. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the expansion of our next-generation networks. You should be highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and have experience of supporting large scale, enterprise class networks. Excellent network implementation and troubleshooting skills combined with a proven documentation methodology is also required. Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact efficiently with peers and customers are required. The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential.

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant certification, combined with hands-on experience in networking deployment and cabling infrastructure best practices.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Cabling & Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with network cabling standards, optic types, and testing tools such as VFL, power meter, and OTDR.
  • Language Skills: Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project & Problem-Solving Skills: Comfortable working on small to medium, and slightly complex projects in ambiguous environments; strong prioritization, time management, and analytical judgment under pressure.
  • Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of Ethernet, IP networking, and fabric-based network design; experience in large-scale data center network implementations and virtualized enterprise environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Familiar with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR); strong troubleshooting and support background.
  • Best Practices & Methodologies: Awareness or knowledge of IT best practice frameworks such as ITIL, LEAN, AGILE, and Operational Excellence principles. Communication & Travel: Comfortable working directly with customers during problem resolution; able to travel within the region, with occasional travel beyond traditional work areas.
