Key Job Responsibilities
Safety

Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.

Data Center Operations (DCO)
  • Diagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs
  • Troubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures
  • Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations)
  • Working rotating shifts (morning/night) as well as weekends to maintain the 24/7 data center environment
  • A valid (EU) driving license is required as Data Centers may not have any public transportation available nearby.
Location Requirements

Our data centers are located in remote areas where access via public transport may be limited. Therefore, a valid EU driving license is required for this role.

Work Schedule

This is a 100% onsite in‑person position due to the hands‑on nature of managing mission‑critical infrastructure and data center industry.

A Day in the Life

In this role, you’ll be working on our advanced ticketing system, managing a diverse workload and solving complex server hardware issues.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team that keeps our cloud infrastructure running smoothly, responding to both automated directives and team leadership with exceptional time management and adaptability.

Your expertise in problem ticket tracking and escalation procedures will be crucial as you consistently meet and exceed Amazon’s high standards for technical proficiency and operational excellence. This role is vital in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our sophisticated data center infrastructure – you’ll be working and supporting the face of Cloud technology in the region.

Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of technical experience
  • General knowledge of troubleshooting server hardware issues
  • Basic networking experience
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, displaying excellent time management skills
  • Ability to take direction from both a directed work system and/or a team lead
  • Able to lift/move up to 18kg equipment
  • Valid EU driving license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with problem ticket tracking, prioritization, and escalation procedures
  • Understanding of maintenance windows/change management procedures
  • Basic understanding of data center facilities
  • Networking administration and/or certification
  • CCENT/CCNA, Network+, A+
  • Scripting skills – Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.
