Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a VP for Strategy and Business Development to define and drive Mining’s strategic agenda, oversee portfolio development, and lead growth initiatives. You’ll work with divisional presidents and Sandvik Group stakeholders on transformation, M&A, and high-impact portfolio decisions.

You bring a proven track record across strategy, M&A, and business development in international settings, with strong leadership and commercial insight into industrial, technology, or capital

Qualifications

• You’re an experienced strategy leader with a strong track record in business development and execution.
• Solid M&A experience, including deal evaluation, due diligence, integration and value creation.
• Experience from management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or business development.
• Experience working closely with executive leadership teams and boards.
• Strong commercial understanding of industrial, technology, or capital equipment businesses.

Responsibilities

• Driving BA strategy development and execution.
• Leading mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and strategic partnerships.
• Evaluating growth opportunities, portfolio priorities, and industry trends.
• Providing market intelligence, competitive insights, and strategic analysis to support executive decision-making.
• Hosting the Marketing and Communications function within Mining.
