Job summary

Sandvik AB is seeking a senior M&A leader to drive and execute the global M&A strategy across the Machining divisions. You will act as the senior expert, shaping teams, capabilities, operating models and long‑term value creation, reporting to the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Machining.

In this role you will lead transaction projects, oversee the full lifecycle from target identification to integration, develop the M&A practitioner community and collaborate with board

Qualifications

• Extensive experience across the full M&A lifecycle, from strategy to post‑deal integration.
• Background from corporations and professional environments such as investment banking, strategy consulting or private equity.
• Strong leadership experience, building high‑performing cross‑functional teams.
• Academic degree in Business, Finance or related field.
• Excellent English communication skills; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of M&A strategy, defining focus areas, plans and timelines.
• Manage all transaction projects across the business area and divisions.
• Support the full M&A lifecycle from target identification to due diligence to integration.
• Lead and develop the M&A team and practitioner community.
• Report on M&A plans, activities and outcomes, including internal approvals at business area and group level.
• Continuously develop ways of working, methods and capabilities in line with group frameworks.
