Job description

We are looking for an IT Manager to own our internal IT. You will lead our IT support function, set IT policy and standards, and keep us compliant with the security demands. As we grow across Europe, you will also bring newly acquired companies onto shared IT standards.

DigitalTolk is a Stockholm-based, technology-driven language services company, founded in 2015. Our own booking platform matches clients with professional interpreters and translators in seconds, across more than 210 languages and dialects. We are a trusted partner to Swedish regions, courts, police and other public-sector bodies, offering video, telephone and on-site interpretation, translation and messaging services.

Through the acquisitions of 24translate, Hieronymus and Interlingua, we now operate across Sweden and the DACH region, and we are building a pan-European language solutions platform.

Key responsibilities
Leadership and strategy
  • Lead, coach and grow the IT Support team, and set clear priorities, service levels and ways of working
  • Own the internal IT roadmap and budget, aligned with business growth and the CTO's technology strategy
  • Act as the escalation point for complex or high-impact IT issues
IT operations and support
  • Ensure reliable day-to-day IT support for all employees across Sweden and our European offices
  • Own the full device lifecycle: procurement, setup, inventory, repair and secure disposal of laptops, phones and peripherals
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, devices and access rights
  • Administer our SaaS and collaboration stack (Microsoft 365)
  • Oversee office networks, Wi‑Fi, telephony and meeting‑room equipment
  • Experience with ManagedEngine or similar MDM solution
  • Experience managing Windows Servers
Security and compliance
  • Own IT security policies, access control (least privilege, MFA/SSO) and endpoint protection
  • Ensure GDPR compliance in internal IT and support compliance with NIS2 and ISO 27001 requirements
  • Meet the information security demands of public‑sector contracts and procurements
  • Lead IT incident response, backup and business continuity planning
Integration and vendors
  • Bring acquired companies onto common IT standards, tools and security controls
  • Manage IT vendors, licenses and contracts, and keep costs under control
  • Partner with Operations and People teams to improve internal tools and processes
Behavioral Attributes We Value
  • Ownership mindset: You treat the company's IT environment, from devices and access to security and vendor contracts, as your responsibility, and you build a team that takes the same pride in the service it delivers.
  • Accountability: You're comfortable saying "this was my decision and it didn't work" and equally comfortable leading the fix, the post‑incident review, and the conversation with stakeholders afterward. You hold yourself and your team to clear service levels.
  • Proactive communication: You elevate risks early to leadership, keep the organization informed during incidents and outages, and translate technical issues into clear business impact for non‑technical colleagues.
  • Continuous improvement: You use incidents, audits, user feedback, and integration lessons as input for better processes, security controls, documentation, and team practices.
  • People leadership: You coach and develop your team, set clear priorities, and create an environment where people feel safe raising mistakes and suggesting improvements.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, including at least 2 years leading an IT or support team
  • Degree in IT, computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace, Entra ID (Azure AD) or similar identity platforms, and MDM tools (e.g. Intune, Jamf)
  • Solid grasp of networking, endpoint security, backup and access management
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and information security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIS2
  • Experience managing IT budgets, vendors and licences
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and scripting (PowerShell, Bash or Python)
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical topics to non‑technical colleagues
  • English: Good written and spoken communication skills
  • Swedish and/or German language skills
Nice to have
  • Experience from a scale‑up, or from integrating IT after mergers and acquisitions
  • Certifications such as ITIL, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, CISSP or Microsoft 365 Administrator
