Job summary

DNV is seeking a Head of Department for Solar & Battery Storage within Renewables Northern Europe. You will lead a 36-person team, shape strategic direction, and drive growth across Northern Europe with a strong focus on AI, digital tools and client value.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on business development, ensuring sustainable performance and an inclusive culture across multiple countries.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience leading teams and leaders in an international context.
• Strong consulting, advisory or professional services background to shape value propositions.
• Experience in sales, commercial development and growth initiatives.
• Practical understanding of AI and digital tools to improve services and outcomes.
• Professional fluency in English; additional Nordic languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the department strategy aligned with Renewables Northern Europe and Energy Systems.
• Own financial and operational performance including revenue, profitability and delivery.
• Lead, coach and develop the Line Managers; foster inclusive leadership and accountability.
• Develop differentiated consulting services and scalable offerings for the market.
• Drive AI and digital initiatives to enhance client value and efficiency across teams.
• Translate decisions into action, remove barriers and improve quality and speed.
• Collaborate across Key Account Managers, Market Area Managers and Segment Leads to grow opportunities.
