Job summary

Vattenfall is seeking a Director of Energy Systems and Digitalisation to lead the R&D department based in Solna, guiding strategy, staffing, and delivery of digitalised energy solutions. The role requires strong leadership and international collaboration across multiple technical domains.

You will drive operational efficiency, health and safety, and the long-term development of digital tools and competencies aligned with Vattenfall’s strategic needs, reporting to the Head of R&D.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of managerial experience in complex organisations.
• Very strong customer orientation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing R&D projects and working with agile execution models.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the R&D department on Energy Systems and Digitalisation, including planning, staffing agile teams and resourcing projects.
• Overseeing health and safety, work environment and delivery quality of the department.
• Collaborate with R&D Portfolios and Business Areas to ensure efficient delivery of digital energy solutions and long-term competence development.
