Job summary

Stockholm International School invites applications for a Facilities- and Operations Manager. You will oversee Facilities and Maintenance, Kitchen staff, and Security, with budget and personnel responsibility across three units. You will drive maintenance planning, sustainability, and safety, shaping long-term strategy in collaboration with leadership.

Fluency in Swedish and English is required. The role demands adaptability, people focus, and decisive leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of property management.
• Relevant higher education or equivalent work experience.
• Experience from previous leadership roles.
• A category B driving licence.
• Several years of experience working in similar roles.
• Experience in effective energy and sustainability work.
• Good computer and system skills.
• Experience managing and exposing running contracts to competition.
• Experience managing budgets.
• Experience developing operational plans for the areas of responsibility.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Managing facilities and operation budgets, ensuring best practices in procurement, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
• Provide strategic leadership for the school’s security and safety framework, ensuring that high standards are maintained and continuously strengthened.
• Coordinating and overseeing the maintenance plan, including repairs, renovations, and equipment upgrades.
• Conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address any safety concerns.
• Daily operations, including planning and follow-up of the work.
• Developing efficient work methods to optimise the school´s daily operations.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
• Implementing sustainable practices to minimise environmental impact and promote energy efficiency.
• Strategic development of security and safety practices and operational resilience.
