Job summary

Trattoria Giorgio's, a member of Urban Italian Group, is seeking a Head Chef to lead a busy kitchen and deliver Italian-inspired dishes with pride and discipline. You will mentor the team, maintain high standards, and own the day-to-day operations during service.

You’ll collaborate with the General Manager, manage stock and food costs, and foster a positive, accountable kitchen culture built on teamwork and consistent execution across all sections.

Qualifications

• Has strong experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or senior kitchen leader.
• Is confident leading a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• Understands food cost, stock control, ordering and kitchen profitability.
• Can train, coach and motivate a team with clear standards.
• Leads by example and stays calm under pressure.
• Takes pride in consistency, cleanliness and operational discipline.
• Believes great kitchens are built through teamwork, ownership and respect.

Responsibilities

• Leading the kitchen team through prep, service and daily operations.
• Delivering consistent food quality, presentation and kitchen standards.
• Coaching, training and developing chefs across all sections.
• Managing stock, ordering, waste and food cost with strong attention to detail.
• Ensuring hygiene, food safety and compliance standards are followed at all times.
• Working closely with the General Manager to support strong restaurant performance.

The Role

As Head Chef, You will be responsible for keeping the kitchen running smoothly through busy services, supporting and developing your team, and making sure our food standards are delivered with pride and discipline.
