Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Head of Legal Governance & Investigations to shape the global governance and compliance framework. The role focuses on translating external developments into practical group policies, controls and guidance while maintaining divisional autonomy.

You will lead governance initiatives, drive data-driven reporting, and oversee high-risk whistleblowing and investigations in collaboration with HR, Internal Audit and specialists.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law or related discipline.
• At least seven years in legal, governance, compliance or risk.
• Broad regulatory background across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience developing governance frameworks and policies.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
• Knowledge of GDPR, AI governance, NIS2 and/or DORA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory developments and assess strategic relevance to the ASSA ABLOY Group.
• Translate developments into Group policies, directives, guidelines and governance frameworks.
• Develop, maintain and oversee governance and compliance frameworks (corporate governance, data protection, digital compliance, competition, anti-corruption, trade).
• Deliver training and awareness materials, including parts of the Code of Conduct.
• Oversee whistleblowing reports and internal investigations in collaboration with HR, Internal Audit and specialists.
• Provide legal guidance on whistleblowing and investigation requirements and oversee governance tools.
• Balance Group governance with divisions' operational autonomy and accountability.
• Support governance reporting for Audit Committee, investors, lenders and disclosures.
• Develop systematic data collection and reporting for governance and compliance across the Group.
