Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior leader to oversee a global Application Engineering team focused on Power Conversion, Power Quality Industry, and Grid Connection solutions. You will mentor 4 GPG Application Engineers and coordinate 14 more across the world, guiding complex projects and ensuring high performance.

You will shape strategies, manage risks, and push innovations while maintaining strong customer relationships and cross‑functional collaboration. 20% travel anticipated.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or similar.
• Strong experience in application engineering, business development or lead engineering.
• Experience from HVDC Offshore Wind is a plus.
• Excellent communicator with cross‑cultural collaboration.
• Fluent in English; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers across global locations.
• Coordinate business development and pre‑tender activities for Power Conversion, Power Quality Industry and Grid Connection teams.
• Engage with customers early to understand needs and opportunities.
• Shape optimized, cost‑effective solutions across the portfolio.
• Represent Engineering in cross‑functional teams for alignment and togetherness.
• Build long‑term stakeholder relationships to support market growth.
• Guide teams through complex technical inputs across the sales cycle.
• Manage risks, issues, and changes with clear communication.
• Drive strategy, innovation and improve project processes and tools.
