Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight, Inc. in Gothenburg, Sweden, seeks a Forward Deployed leader to build and own a new engineering unit that shapes agentic systems for airline operations.

You will lead a global team, drive production-grade implementations, and align product and engineering in a mission-critical domain. You will own cross-functional delivery, measure system unattended capability, and ensure the solution scales across customers while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, shipping and running agentic systems in production.
• Track record leading senior engineering teams, ideally distributed or embedded with customers.
• Credibility with airline leadership and senior engineers.
• Comfort owning outcomes in mission-critical software with high stakes.

Responsibilities

• Build the organisation. Hire and lead a Specification Leader, a Development Leader and twelve Forward Deployed Engineers based across the world.
• Build the FDU model end to end. Run the first deployments, measure unattended handling vs. needed human input, and redesign the unit accordingly.
• Own the agentic systems as programme deliverables, including how much they operate unattended, evaluation methods, and review processes.
• Make gravel-to-paved a repeatable habit; ensure product owns roadmap and engineering owns technical acceptance.
• Protect the mission by selecting engagements the team takes on and those it declines.
• Be the programme’s voice by speaking to airline executives and leadership, using data to demonstrate value.
