Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight seeks a leader to build and own a Forward Deployed Engineering unit, embedding with customer implementations and driving agentic systems into production. You will guide architecture, ensure accountable outcomes, and collaborate with product and engineering on the roadmap.

You will lead a distributed team of engineers, design verification and reviews, and balance autonomy with rigor to deliver measurable value for airline customers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, shipping and running agentic systems in production.
• Ability to read PRs, challenge architecture, and debug drifting agentic systems.
• Experience leading senior engineering teams, ideally distributed with customers.
• Credibility with airline leadership and principal engineers.
• Comfort owning outcomes in mission-critical software.

Responsibilities

• Build the organisation: hire and lead key leaders and engineers across the world.
• Lead the FDU model end to end from deployments to measurement and redesign.
• Own agentic systems as programme deliverables and evaluation criteria.
• Make gravel-to-paved a repeatable habit, aligning with product roadmap.
• Protect the mission by selecting engagements and setting team boundaries.
• Be the programme’s voice to executives and leadership, using data to drive value.
