Job description

Responsibilities

• As Fault Tracing Engineer, Electrical & Electronics (EE), you will be part of a cross-functional team with diverse competences focusing on solving systematic quality issues within the EE area.
• When a quality issue is assigned to the team, you will work hands‑on to understand what has been reported, analyze the affected system or component, identify the root cause, and contribute to implementing a robust solution for our customers.
• The work can involve both new development and improvements to existing solutions, including system, component (HW and/or SW), or installation.
• Investigate and troubleshoot systematic quality issues within EE systems.
• Analyze field reports, technical data, and system behavior to identify root causes, while breaking down complex problems into manageable parts and maintaining a holistic product perspective.
• Contribute to corrective actions and solution implementation, together with relevant stakeholders.
• Work across hardware, software, function, and system levels depending on the nature of the issue.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in development, testing, implementation, campaign and other key areas.
• Support continuous improvement of products, services and processes.
• Several years of experience in the automotive industry with a technical background in one or multiple EE areas (cable installation, wiring harness, ECUs, software functions, alternators, driver support systems, diagnostics, telematics etc.).
• Experience from fault tracing, system design, component development, or verification and validation.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills and a genuine commitment to quality
• Ability to lead smaller investigations independently while also thriving in a team environment
• Good understanding of the automotive product lifecycle, from early development and concept phases to production and maintenance
• A structured way of working and the ability to focus on critical details without losing an overall perspective
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally

Meritorious

• Experience with tools such as Saber, Catia V5, CANalyzer, CANoe, IPEtronik, or other relevant measuring, simulation, and logging equipment
• Familiarity with our clients processes, methods, tools (Kola, SW Configurator, VDA, etc) and IT systems
• Bus driving license, category D
