Job summary

Tata Technologies in Gothenburg, Sweden, is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join our team and help develop electronic systems for advanced powertrain and vehicle applications. You will work with suppliers and internal engineers to ensure hardware meets requirements, quality standards, and regulatory codes.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics, experience in electronics development and EMC, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics.
• Experience in electronics development, testing, verification, or system engineering.
• Understanding of electronic hardware development processes.
• Knowledge of EMC principles and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with automotive electrical and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and regulations related to electronic systems.
• Knowledge of standards such as CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 16750, UNECE R10, LV124/LV148.

Responsibilities

• Follow up supplier-developed electronic hardware throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Review hardware designs, technical documentation, and verification reports.
• Ensure compliance with Electrical Load Profile (ELP) requirements and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards.
• Participate in technical reviews and design discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate and review SREA and SCRICA documentation.
• Support verification and validation activities for electronic hardware and vehicle integration.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and issue resolution activities.
• Support requirement management and engineering change activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project deliveries.
• Drive continuous improvements in development methods and engineering practices.

The role

In this role, you will work closely with suppliers and internal engineering teams to ensure that electronic hardware solutions meet technical requirements, quality expectations, and regulatory standards throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Familiarity with automotive electrical and electronic systems.
• Experience working with suppliers or external development partners is considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and regulations related to electronic systems.
• Knowledge of standards such as CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 16750, UNECE R10, LV124/LV148, or equivalent automotive standards is considered beneficial.
• Experience with requirement engineering, technical reviews, or change management is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
