Job summary

Frey Recruitment is seeking a capable Deckhand for a 50m sailing yacht (SY) in a private/charter program.

The yacht travels between the Mediterranean and Caribbean and is used primarily by the owner and his family, with occasional charter.

The successful candidate should have at least one full season of yachting experience and be comfortable with all deck operations. Start Sep/Oct; full-time; DOE.

Qualifications

• Minimum one full season of yacht experience.
• Yachtmaster or Day Skipper qualification preferred.
• Genuine sailing experience.
• Confident tender driver.
• Good understanding of general deck maintenance and operations.
• Physically fit, practical and hardworking.
• Positive attitude and comfortable within a close-knit crew.

Job description

A 50m SY is seeking a capable Deckhand with a good sailing background for their aprivate/charter program.

The yacht operates between the Mediterranean and Caribbean and is used primarily by the owner and his family, with occasional charter.

The successful candidate should already have at least one full season of yachting experience and be comfortable contributing to all aspects of deck operations. This is an active sailing programme, so a genuine interest in sailing, strong practical skills and a willingness to learn will be important.
