Job summary

Telia in Gothenburg seeks a Data Scientist to transform business needs into robust AI solutions, focusing on generative and agentic AI from idea to production.

You will build and deploy AI agents, ML models and analytics, collaborating with data engineers and product owners in a secure, scalable IT environment. Fluency in English and Swedish required; three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data science, agentic AI, AI engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Python, machine learning, generative AI, LLMs and RAG solutions.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into secure and scalable technical solutions and work independently in a complex IT environment.
• Fluency in English and Swedish; role based in Gothenburg with office presence three days per week.

We're looking for a Data Scientist to join us at Telia.

I'm Niklas Ballay, Head of Digital Evolution & Automation, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team that develops data, automation and AI capabilities to create measurable value across Telia Infra.

What You'll Do

You will turn business needs into robust data and AI solutions, with a particular focus on generative and agentic AI from idea to production.

• Develop and implement solutions within data science, machine learning and AI, including predictive models and advanced analytics.
• Design build and deploy AI agents and intelligent workflows using LLMs, RAG, vector databases and modern AI frameworks.
