Job summary

Telia Cygate seeks a visionary Head of Core Technology to lead the shared technology foundation across our Managed Services business, enabling growth in network, security, hybrid cloud, and future AI-driven services. You will drive the technology strategy, governance, and engineering excellence and act as a key member of the leadership team.

You will oversee platforms, automation capabilities, and internal IT while shaping the operating model and roadmaps to deliver scalable, high-value services

Qualifications

We're looking for a Head of Core Technology to join us at Telia Cygate.

My name is Pernilla Benerfalk, Managed Services Director, and I'm looking for a leader who wants to help shape the next chapter of our Managed Services business.

As customer expectations evolve and technology continues to transform our industry, we're strengthening the foundation that enables us to scale, innovate, and deliver exceptional customer value. We're now looking for a Head of Core Technology to lead that journey.

This is a highly strategic leadership role with the opportunity to influence how one of Sweden's leading Managed Services providers develops its future operating model, technology capabilities, and delivery excellence.

You will lead the function responsible for the shared technology foundation across Managed Services, enabling continued growth within Network, Security, Hybrid Cloud, and future AI-driven services.

What you'll do

As Head of Core Technology, you will lead an experienced organization responsible for the platforms, governance, architecture, automation capabilities, and technology standards that support our Managed Services business.

You will be a key member of the leadership team, working closely with business and technology leaders to drive transformation, enable scalability, and create the conditions for future growth.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the Core Technology organization.
• Driving strategic transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Shaping our technology strategy, architecture, and operating model.
• Owning shared platforms, automation capabilities, and internal IT.
• Establishing governance, standards, and scalable ways of working.
• Driving technology investments, roadmaps, and long-term capability development.
• Driving development of processes, ways of working, and engineering capabilities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.

What will help you thrive in this role

You are an experienced leader with a track record of driving change in complex organizations. You've led teams through transformation, balancing strategic direction with operational excellence, and know how to create alignment across multiple stakeholders.

You may come from Managed Services, IT Operations, Infrastructure, Service Delivery, Cloud, or a similar technology-driven environment where you've been responsible for building capabilities that enable growth and long-term success.

Most importantly, you're energized by transformation. You enjoy challenging established ways of working, bringing people together around a shared vision, and building organizations that are prepared for what's next.

- Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken is a requirement for this position.
