Job summary

SilverBack is recruiting an experienced Contract Manager to support a major project in Northern Sweden. You will join an integrated project and construction team and be responsible for contract management and administration of major site contractors.

The role focuses on managing contractual risk, change orders, variations, and claims throughout project execution, with close collaboration with Project Leads and Construction Managers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Contract Manager experience on major construction projects.
• Post-award contract management and administration experience.
• Experience managing claims, change orders, variations and contractual correspondence.
• Background in large-scale construction, EPC/EPCM, Oil & Gas, Energy, Mining & Metals, or heavy industrial projects.

Working as part of an integrated project and construction team, you'll be responsible for the contract management and administration of major site contractors, supporting Project Leads, Construction Managers and other key stakeholders throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site contractors from a contract management and administration perspective.
• Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
• Manage and support Change Requests, Change Orders, variations and claims throughout project execution.
• Review and interpret contracts and provide support during contract negotiations.
• Ensure consistent interpretation of contractual clauses and treatment of changes and claims.
• Support project and construction teams with contractual issues and correspondence.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 10 years' experience as a Contract Manager on major construction projects.
• Strong post-award contract management and contract administration experience.
• Proven experience managing claims, Change Orders, variations and contractual correspondence.
• Strong understanding of commercial and contractual risk management.
• Experience working with and managing major contractors during project execution.
• Background in large-scale construction, EPC/EPCM, Oil & Gas, Energy, Mining & Metals, steel or heavy industrial projects.
