Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a BAS-U on a major construction project in Sweden to coordinate health, safety and work environment activities during the execution phase. You will ensure compliance with legislation, maintain the Work Environment Plan and ERP, and lead safety meetings with multiple contractors on site.

The role demands extensive field presence, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to safety improvement, risk control, and incident investigations on a mega project.

Qualifications

• Education: degree or diploma in construction, engineering or OH&S.
• BAS-U certification/training per national requirements.
• Incident Investigation training.
• 10 years construction experience; 5+ in mega projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work environment management throughout the execution phase.
• Ensure compliance with applicable work environment legislation.
• Maintain and update the Work Environment Plan (WEP).
• Coordinate activities between multiple contractors and disciplines.
• Identify and manage interface risks from overlapping activities.
• Review RAMS for work permits; ensure high-risk activities are controlled.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety forums.
• Monitor HSE KPIs, report trends, and close corrective actions.
• Stop unsafe work and escalate non-compliance when needed.
