Job summary

Saab is seeking a Head of Security Engineering to lead the area within Group IT, shaping security capabilities across platforms, apps and infrastructure. You will drive a strategy, roadmap and secure-by-design approach in a digitally transforming, globally connected organisation.

You will lead teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and enable cloud adoption, automation and modern security technologies to strengthen cyber resilience and business growth.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong people leadership and talent development skills.
• Extensive experience within Security Engineering, Security Architecture or related security domains.
• Strong understanding of security-by-design, modern security architectures and security engineering practices.
• Experience driving security transformation, automation or modernisation initiatives.
• Understanding of Zero Trust, cloud security and modern security technologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience from the defence industry or other highly regulated industries is an advantage.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and engage employees and leaders within the area.
• Lead the development of Saab's security engineering capabilities and services.
• Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for Security Engineering.
• Drive security-by-design across platforms, applications and infrastructure.
• Strengthen security architecture, engineering standards and secure development practices.
• Enable modern security technologies, automation and Zero Trust capabilities.
• Support secure cloud adoption and platform modernisation.
• Improve cyber resilience through scalable security capabilities and engineering practices.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors and partners.
