Saab is seeking a Head of Security Engineering to lead the area within Group IT, shaping security capabilities across platforms, apps and infrastructure. You will drive a strategy, roadmap and secure-by-design approach in a digitally transforming, globally connected organisation.

You will lead teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and enable cloud adoption, automation and modern security technologies to strengthen cyber resilience and business growth.

• Experience from the defence industry or other highly regulated industries is an advantage.

Shape the future of Saab IT - Head of security engineering

Take on a leadership role at the heart of Saab's digital transformation. As Head of Security Engineering within Group IT, you will lead a strategically important area responsible for the security capabilities that protect Saab's platforms, applications and infrastructure. You will help shape the future of security engineering across Saab through security-by-design, automation and modern security technologies.

Your role

As Head of Security Engineering, you lead the organisation, people and capabilities within the area. Your mission is to evolve Saab's security engineering capabilities to support future business needs, digitalisation and technology adoption. As cloud adoption, AI and automation continue to accelerate, security must evolve alongside them.

A major focus will be strengthening security-by-design, modern security architectures and automated security capabilities across applications, platforms and infrastructure. This includes building scalable security capabilities that enable secure technology adoption across Saab.

As part of the IT Security & Compliance Operations management team, you will work closely with business stakeholders, technology leaders, architects, vendors and partners. The role requires some travel to meet with your teams and business stakeholders.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong combination of people leadership, business understanding and technology insight.

You have experience leading teams and driving change in complex technology environments. You are comfortable collaborating across organisational boundaries and influencing stakeholders at different levels.

You are an experienced technology leader with a passion for security engineering, modern security technologies and digital transformation. You understand how secure platforms and services enable business growth, technology adoption and cyber resilience.

You are a people-oriented leader who creates engagement, develops others and fosters high-performing teams. At the same time, you combine strategic thinking with a strong delivery focus and a passion for modern technology and continuous improvement.

Key qualifications and experience

• Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Strong people leadership and talent development skills
