Job summary

Altris AB in Sweden is seeking a one-year temporary Cell Validation Engineer to join our Cell Development team. This role focuses on cell-level testing and analysis, bridging early prototype development and scale-up to larger-format cells.

You will perform in-house electrochemical testing and coordinate external tests, designing tests, preparing cells, executing experiments, and reporting results to support readiness for customer delivery.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (any area, battery focus preferred).
• 4+ years practical experience in cell validation (designing tests, executing tests, analyzing data and reporting results).
• Basic understanding of battery cell components (cathode, anode, separator, electrolyte).
• Experience with data handling and drawing conclusions from complex data sets.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end cycle of testing on cell level (R&D and production samples) from planning through reporting.
• Prepare test protocols and scripts according to customer and internal requirements.
• Prepare DUT with additional sensors or measurement devices and plan test channels.
• Execute tests with safety as the primary priority and document results.
• Summarise test results and communicate conclusions to engineers and customers.
• Identify, execute and manage tests with external partners (environmental, safety, certification).
• Maintain and keep validation equipment and test channels in good condition.
• Participate in root cause analysis for selection and aging cycles in pilot production.
