Lyten Sweden is seeking a senior professional in test and validation engineering for its battery technology division.
The role entails planning, organizing, executing, and following up on project‑related testing, with leadership and oversight responsibilities for the engineering team, overseeing the test facility operations, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead product testing procedures based on customer requirements and QC standards.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of test equipment necessary for product testing.
- Ensure implementation of robust quality assurance processes to uphold accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Analyze test results and prepare formal or informal test reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure delivery of project activities regarding validation requirements.
- Oversee documentation of test procedures, observations, and results, ensuring compliance with document management standards.
- Lead technical work streams related to installation and commissioning of equipment for test expansion projects.
- Develop new test methodology and equipment primarily at the cell scale.
- Provide technical expertise, guidance and training to associate engineers and technicians.
- Lead continuous improvement and problem‑solving initiatives aimed at enhancing testing methodologies, processes and workflows.
- Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between customers and internal stakeholders.
- Assist the team in performing and innovating tests and processes.
- Own responsibility for the test facility related to its operation, installation and commissioning activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrochemical, Materials, Electrical, Mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
- More than three years of experience in the development and testing of secondary batteries, lithium‑ion based technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with international customers and cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of FMEA, FTA, Six Sigma concepts, and problem‑solving methodologies.
- Familiarity with international test standards (IEC/ES, UL, CSA, Marine, etc.).
- Proven track record of meeting customer requirements and expectations.
- Risk recognition in cell/battery development and production.
- Strong knowledge of test design, setup and facility operation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and presentation.
- Excellent written and oral English skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Highly organized, results‑driven with experience overseeing complex testing projects and resource management.
- Advanced problem‑solving skills and innovative solution design.
- Experience with OEM projects for lithium‑ion battery cell/module business.
- Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently.
- Proficient use of problem‑solving tools.
