We are seeking a one year temporary Cell Validation Engineer to join our Cell Development team at Altris, where we are pioneering the next generation of Sodium-Ion battery technology. This role is centered on cell-level testing and analysis, and is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working at the interface between early-stage prototype development and scale-up to larger-format cells.
As a Cell Validation Engineer, you will work in the core of Altris – where battery cells are manufactured. You will work with the cell validation activities to confirm performance, safety and reliability of cells against project requirements, ensuring readiness for customer delivery and scale-up.
The Cell Validation Engineer reports into the cell development team and is responsible for conducting a wide variety of tests on battery cell level. The primary focus is in-house electrochemical testing, however the role extends to covering externally conducted tests (electrochemical, environmental, safety, abusive and certification testing). The cell test engineer will collaborate closely with the cell development team to design tests, prepare cells for testing, execute the test and report the results in an efficient way.
You will work in a modern workplace with a new innovative battery technology with the aim of enabling the transition to a carbon free society.
