EasyMining Sweden AB in Gothenburg (Gårda) seeks a proactive Business Controller for the EPS unit to lead financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and governance.

You will act as strategic partner to the Director of EPS, develop scalable financial processes, implement dashboards, and ensure robust financial control across projects. This role supports growth of our plant-delivery business and offers opportunities to shape finance routines.

Qualifications

EasyMining is entering a decisive growth phase as we commercialize our technologies and delivers full-scale industrial plants across Europe. To support this expansion, we have formed a new business unit — EPS (Engineering & Plant Sales) — responsible for technology realization, project execution, and commercial plant delivery of some projects reaching above 100 M€ in CAPEX.

We are now seeking a proactive, structured, and business-minded Business Controller for EPS. In this role, you will take full ownership of financial processes, support strategic decision-making, and build the financial systems needed in a rapidly scaling technology company.

Job brief

As Business Controller for EPS, you will lead financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and internal governance for the business unit. This role is central in building robust routines, controlling project economics, improving systems, and securing accurate and timely financial information.

You will work as a close strategic partner to the Director of EPS and collaborate daily with EPS management team members, project controllers, project managers, and engineering leaders.

The role requires a driven hands-on mindset, strong analytical capability, and the ability to design and drive scalable financial processes.

This position is part of the EPS management team and is based in our Gothenburg office in Gårda.

Other Responsibilities

• Lead financial management for the EPS unit, including P&L ownership, monthly reporting, forecasting, and cash-flow analysis.
• Develop and align annual budgets together with EPS leadership and ensure transparent financial follow-up.
• Support project controllers and project managers, ensuring accurate financial control, structured reporting, and well-founded project business cases.
• Act as superuser of financial systems (e.g., Maconomy), developing routines, dashboards, internal reporting flows, and process documentation.
• Ensure financial accuracy in sales offers, cost estimates, and investment/business case calculations.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting structures, and system efficiency in collaboration with EasyMining’s central controller.
• Support grant, authority, and compliance reporting, ensuring proper routines and timely submissions.
• Secure robust internal routines, including access control, risk management alignment, structured documentation, and sustainability reporting support.
• Act as a strategic partner to EPS leadership — supporting decision‑making, identifying financial risks/opportunities, and enabling long‑term improvements across the business unit.

Expected Education & Experience Requirements

• University degree in finance, business administration, industrial economics, or equivalent.
• 5–10+ years of experience in controlling, financial management, or similar roles.
• Experience with financial systems and BI/reporting tools (Maconomy experience is a plus).
• Meritorious: experience from EPC/EPCm industrial projects, grant‑funded projects, or scaling technology companies.
