Job summary

Videberg Kraft AB is building Sweden's future nuclear power project and seeks a Financial Controller who thrives in a hands-on, data-driven environment. You will manage daily accounting, perform reconciliations, and deliver monthly reports while partnering with management to support decision-making.

In this role you will help structure processes, develop basic financial models in Excel, and contribute to automation and BI initiatives, working across finance and operations in a fast-paced project

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting processes and ownership.
• Strong Excel skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Analytical, structured, and able to balance detail with the big picture.
• Self-driven and proactive in a dynamic environment.
• Fluency in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting including invoicing and coding.
• Perform account reconciliations (bank, VAT, AR/AP).
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare monthly reports (P&L, costs, cash flow) and analyze deviations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling in Excel.
• Contribute to process improvements and tool implementations (ERP, BI).

Financial Controller – Videberg Kraft AB

Videberg Kraft is building a new nuclear power company from the ground up, where strong financial processes, transparency, and data-driven decision-making are critical to the success of the project. As a project company, Videberg Kraft’s mission is to develop, construct, and operate Sweden’s future nuclear power.

We are now looking for aFinancial Controllerwho is curious, analytical, and thrives in a dynamic project environment where both structure and hands-on execution are equally important.

Your role

As Financial Controller in the Finance team, you will combine operational accounting responsibilities with financial analysis and reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring that our financial processes run smoothly, while also contributing to building and structuring these processes and supporting management with insights and decision-making in a growing and fast-paced environment

Operational accounting

• Manage day-to-day accounting, including invoice registration and account coding
• Perform account reconciliations (bank, VAT, accounts receivable/payable)
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes

Controlling and analysis

• Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, costs, cash flow)
• Follow up on budget vs. actuals and analyze deviations
• Support forecasting and budgeting processes
• Build and maintain basic financial models in Excel
• Develop and track key performance indicators (e.g. burn rate)
• Support management with financial insights and decision-making material

Process and development

• Improve and document financial processes
• Contribute to automation and digitalization initiatives
• Ensure data quality in financial systems
• Participate in the implementation of tools (ERP, BI, invoicing systems)

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of hands‑on experience within accounting and financial systems
• Has a solid understanding of accounting processes and is comfortable taking ownership and working independently
• Has strong Excel skills and a good understanding of financial statements
• Is analytical, structured, and comfortable working with both details and the bigger picture
• Is self‑driven, proactive, and thrives in a dynamic environment where structure needs to be created
• Has a strong business mindset and is comfortable working across both operational and analytical tasks
• Fluency in Swedish and English

It is a plus if you also have:

• Experience from building or developing financial processes, ideally in a start‑up, scale‑up or project environment
• Experience with BI tools
