We are now looking for a Lead Piping Engineer to join our exciting Ash2Phos project. We are currently establishing our first full‑scale phosphorus recovery plant in Sweden and the second of its kind globally.

Job brief

We are seeking a candidate to be a part of piping design across our various development and construction projects. At EasyMining, we work through the full project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, Basic Design, Detailed Design, and Commissioning.

Key responsibilities include managing piping projects, specifying piping materials, engaging with vendors, developing plant layouts, and performing 3D design of piping in AvevaE3D. We expect the candidate to be a team player who respects deadlines, takes ownership of problem‑solving tasks and projects, and demonstrates a strong interest in learning new skills. The successful candidate will join our cross‑functional engineering team in Gothenburg.

Summary of the Main Responsibilities

• Work while simultaneously advancing the development of our 3D tool workflows.
• Lead piping engineering activities throughout all project phases
• Be involved in setting up and developing the integration of our engineering tools (COMOS and E3D).
• Work with and contribute to the development of technical specifications
• Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with standards, contracts, and legal requirements.
• Support budget planning and project cost estimation in collaboration with our cross‑functional engineering team.

While most work will take place in Gothenburg, future responsibilities may involve national and international travel to our offices, as well as temporary assignments at future project sites during plant, construction, commissioning, and start‑ups. The travel is currently expected to destinations within northern Europe.

Requirements

• You are driven and can work with structure, both independently and in a cross‑functional team
• Excellent knowledge in Aveva E3D.
• Excellent knowledge of piping engineering and good knowledge of related disciplines.
• You are a team player, but you are also capable of working and coming to results on your own.
• Physically capable of field work and site walk in an operating chemical plant that handles hazardous chemicals.
• Can document the development process progress in an organized manner.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Higher level of education within piping Engineering
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in an engineering environment.
• Experience from either chemical, petrochemical, pulp & paper or the mining industries.
• Knowledge of EN codes and PED.
• Good knowledge of using MS Office package.
• Completed several projects using AVEVA E3D.

It is of benefit if you have experience of:

• Design work by engineering tool systems such as Comos or similar.
• Market vendor contacts of pipe and valves.
• Site supervision, field work and installation.
