Job summary

ABB Sweden seeks an Aftersales Technical Specialist to join a team of product experts supporting automation solutions across the Energy, Process, and Marine sectors. You will be the technical partner through design, testing, installation, and long-term operation.

You will collaborate with ABB's local project and service teams and with R&D, Product Management, and end customers, contributing to meaningful, real-world technical impact in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Background in process automation, system servicing, maintenance or commissioning.

Your Responsibilities

As an Aftersales Technical Specialist, you will become part of a highly skilled team of product experts supporting cutting-edge automation solutions across the Energy, Process, and Marine sectors. Your work will directly contribute to keeping critical systems running smoothly for customers around the world.

The position serves as a trusted technical partner to ABB's global organizations and includes ownership of complex customer challenges throughout the entire system lifecycle - from design and testing to installation, commissioning, and long-term operation.

Your daily work will involve close collaboration with ABB's local project and service teams, as well as specialists, Product Management, and R&D. You will also have opportunities for direct interaction with end customers, giving you a front-row seat to the real-world impact of your expertise.

• Customer Support & Diagnostics: Assist customers with our products by analyzing issues, reviewing logs, performing remote diagnostics, and reproducing problems in lab environments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, front-end teams, and end customers to resolve challenges and improve product support.
• Technical Enablement: Contribute to software development by integrating supportability features such as fault tracing tools, guides, and logging mechanisms.
• On-Site Engagements: Occasionally participate in field activities to troubleshoot complex issues and perform system health checks.
• Continuous Growth & Autonomy: Stay updated on product and technology developments while enjoying a flexible role that encourages technical discussions and personal influence over your workday.

Your Background

• Relevant Experience: Background in process automation, system servicing, maintenance, or commissioning—or a degree in a related technical field.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ABB PA PCP products and technologies like Microsoft platforms, virtualization, network communication, Red Head OpenShift, and Kubernetes is beneficial.
• Curiosity & Drive: Strong interest in digital solutions, paired with self-motivation and a desire to continuously learn new technologies.
• Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to take ownership and work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Communication & Flexibility: Proficient in Swedish and English, and open to domestic and international travel when needed.
