Job summary

FNRCO is seeking a Container Service Yard Operations Supervisor to oversee and manage container yard activities, coordinating with customs agents, trucking companies, port authorities and third-party providers. The role emphasizes leadership, compliance with SOPs, and continuous performance improvement.

The successful candidate will supervise CSY operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive cost-effective yard management while liaising with shipping lines, agents and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation or related field.
• 8 years of experience in the required technical field with at least 1 year in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Experience coordinating with customs, port authorities, shipping agents, trucking companies and third-party service providers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage container yard operations, coordinating with customs agents, trucking companies, port and statutory authorities.
• Ensure CSY operations comply with SOPs, strive for customer satisfaction and track team performance.
• Lead and motivate CSY team with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Supervise daily container service operations including maintenance, loading/unloading, stuffing & destuffing to meet customer needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• The role of the Container Service Yard Operations Supervisor is to oversee and manage container yard operations by coordinating with customs agents, trucking companies, port and statutory authorities and mange 3rd party service providers.
• The Container Service Yard Operations Supervisor is responsible to ensure the CSY operations team adheres to all SOPs when conducting activities, achieve customer satisfaction and track and improve the CSY team’s performance.
• The role of the Container Service Yard Operations Supervisor requires a strongly motivated person with great leadership and problem-solving skils.
• Supervise and manage daily container service operations such as maintenance, loading and unloading, stuffing & destuffing to meet the requirements of Bahri Logistics’ customers.

Yard Operations:

• Manage the profitability and loss.
• Manage the daily container yard operations according to the set guidelines and procedures by ensuring operating tools and fork lifts are well, maintained, premises are secured and following other statutory requirements.
• Supervise and manage daily container service operations such as maintenance, loading and unloading, stuffing & destuffing to meet the requirements of Bahri Logistics’ customers.

Costing:

• Implement initiatives to improve costs for CSY operations.

Strategy:

• Implement the product strategy for CSY to ensure product growth.

Service Providers:

• Manage 3rd party service providers and ensure compliance to agreed terms and conditions and service levels.

Coordination:

• Liaise with shipping companies, agents, trucking companies, customs port authorities and other statutory authorities to ensure smooth coordination.

Concepts and Policies:

• Adopt and apply new professional strategies and policies within the area of responsibility in accordance with management directions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Marine Transportation, Business Administration or equivalent.
• 8 years of experience in required technical field. At least 1 year in an acting supervisory/managerial role.
