Job Purpose
- The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the RSSE warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of equipment, merchandise, consumables, and operational assets.
- The role supports all RSSE operations, including watersports, diving, marine activities, recreation, events, and guest experiences, by maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring equipment is available, safe, and operational when required.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, issuing, and transferring materials and equipment.
- Ensure all warehouse processes comply with company policies, safety requirements, and operational standards.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
- Monitor stock movements and ensure timely replenishment of critical inventory items.
- Coordinate the distribution and collection of equipment across RSSE operational sites.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are updated in relevant systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Track the lifecycle of operational assets, equipment, uniforms, consumables, and spare parts.
- Support inventory forecasting and stock planning in coordination with department managers.
Equipment & Asset Control
- Monitor the issuance, return, and condition of sports, marine, diving, and recreational equipment.
- Ensure equipment is properly tagged, tracked, and stored.
- Coordinate repairs, servicing, and replacement of damaged or unserviceable items.
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules and equipment certifications where applicable.
- Supervise warehouse assistants and storekeepers, allocating daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Provide training and guidance on warehouse procedures, inventory management, and safety standards.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within warehouse operations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare inventory reports, stock status updates, and warehouse performance reports.
- Monitor and report on key warehouse KPIs, including inventory accuracy and stock availability.
- Support procurement activities through stock monitoring and purchase requisition requests.
- Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, transfers, inventory adjustments, and asset movements.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with Operations, Marine, Watersports, Diving, Recreation, Procurement, and Finance teams.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding deliveries and inventory requirements.
- Support operational planning by ensuring equipment and materials are available to meet business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Warehouse Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-6 years of warehouse, stores, logistics, or inventory management experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience within warehouse operations.
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, recreation, marine, sports, or large-scale operational environments is preferred.
- Strong warehouse and inventory management knowledge.
- Experience with inventory management systems and ERP platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple operational requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse health and safety standards.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting watersports, diving, marine, hospitality, or recreation operations.
- Familiarity with asset tracking systems and inventory control software.
- Experience in multi-site operations or large-scale developments.
- Forklift certification or warehouse safety certification would be an advantage.
