Title: VP - Operations & Maintenance

Vice President, Operations & Maintenance

Location: Middle East

International – Extensive travel required

Summary

KBR seeks a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) to lead the delivery of world-class asset management and maintenance services across major industrial facilities. This executive role is responsible for ensuring operational reliability, safety, and sustainability throughout the asset lifecycle whilst driving continued growth. The VP will champion preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, digital transformation, and continuous improvement to maximize client value and operational performance.

Responsibilities

Strategic Growth Leadership

  • Identify and secure high-value opportunities in O&M in the Middle East and other developing regions.
  • Build and strengthen strategic alliances with governments, key clients and prospective clients in key markets.

Operations & Maintenance Leadership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive O&M strategies for large-scale industrial assets.
  • Ensure seamless integration of maintenance programs with commissioning and operational phases.
  • Drive adoption of predictive and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and optimize asset performance.
  • Oversee asset integrity management, reliability engineering, and digital monitoring systems.

Lifecycle Asset Management

  • Establish governance frameworks for maintenance planning, spare parts management, and contractor oversight.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency and emissions reduction in maintenance operations.
  • Align O&M practices with client objectives and international standards for quality and safety.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Guarantee adherence to global safety standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Implement robust risk management systems for operational hazards and environmental compliance.

Digital Transformation & Innovation

  • Lead deployment of advanced analytics and digital platforms for real-time performance optimization.
  • Champion innovation in asset management technologies to enhance reliability and cost efficiency.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing O&M leadership team across multiple geographies.
  • Drive workforce development programs, including certifications in reliability and maintenance engineering.
Qualifications, Education, Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in industrial operations and maintenance, with at least 10 years in executive leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale O&M programs in energy, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
  • Experience with large clients such as ADNOC, Armaco, QP, BOC, etc.
  • Expertise in digital asset management tools and predictive maintenance technologies such as Predictive analytics, smart inventory, preventive maintenance, smart planning, scaffolding, & turnaround.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
