Job summary

Lucid Motors in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Software Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for internal development fleets, production vehicles, and customer vehicles in an automotive environment. The role requires diagnosing issues using DTCs, UDS, CAN/CAN-FD, and collaborating with software, hardware, validation, and manufacturing teams.

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–5 years of experience are required, with experience in CANoe/CANalyzer and Grafana preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Computer and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Practical experience with CAN bus systems, vehicle diagnostics, or related automotive software-support activities.
• Experience applying UDS diagnostic services in ECU environments.
• Hands-on experience reading and clearing DTCs, querying DIDs, and executing Routine Control or related ECU diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for internal development, fleet, production, and customer vehicles.
• Support vehicle software and hardware readiness within production-line environments using established procedures.
• Work with software, hardware, validation, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle system issues.
• Perform diagnostic analysis using DTCs, Grafana telemetry, CANoe, and CANalyzer.
• Apply core UDS services for ECU-level troubleshooting.
• Support software and hardware integration, validation, release, launch, and Start of Production activities.
• Perform ECU flashing and reprogramming, bootloader interaction, and interrupted-flash recovery.
• Analyze diagnostic communication to identify causes of yield losses.
• Support DTC strategies and fault segregation between factory and customer relevance.
• Create and maintain issue reports, document findings, and support timely closure.
• Participate in technical reviews and on-call rotation.
