Job summary

Lucid Motors in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Software Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for internal development fleets, production vehicles, and customer vehicles in an automotive environment. The role collaborates across software, hardware, validation, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to diagnose and resolve vehicle system issues using established diagnostic methods.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Computer and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
Practical experience with CAN bus systems, vehicle diagnostics, or automotive software-support activities.
Experience supporting automotive systems; EV experience preferred.
Experience applying UDS diagnostic services in ECU environments.
Hands-on experience reading/clearing DTCs and using ECU diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical support for internal development, fleet, production, and customer vehicles.
Support vehicle software/hardware readiness in production environments using established procedures.
Troubleshoot vehicle system issues with software, hardware, validation, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
Perform diagnostic analysis using DTCs, Grafana telemetry, CANoe, and CANalyzer.
Apply UDS services for ECU troubleshooting and data transfer.
Support software/hardware integration, validation, release, and Start of Production.
Perform ECU flashing/reprogramming and bootloader interaction.
Analyze diagnostic communication to identify manufacturing yield issues.
Contribute to DTC strategies and end-of-line logics.
Create and maintain issue reports and track actions to closure.
Participate in technical reviews and on-call rotation.
