Job summary

Welspun Pipes Company in Dammam is seeking a Utilities Engineer to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all plant utility systems supporting ductile iron pipe production. You will lead maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across power, water, air, steam, and waste streams in a high-temperature industrial setting.

The role covers energy resource management, safety compliance, project upgrades, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical/Industrial/Utilities Eng; 5–10 years in heavy manufacturing.
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance.
• CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of utility equipment, compressors, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, furnaces and water treatment units.
• Monitor energy consumption (electricity, water, gas, diesel, compressed air) and optimize usage.
• Ensure safety compliance and perform risk assessments, SOPs, and emergency planning.
• Lead installation, commissioning and upgrades of utility equipment for plant expansion.
• Maintain utility performance dashboards and generate regular reports.

Key Responsibilities

Utilities System Operation Maintenance

• Oversee daily operation of utility equipment compressorschillerscooling towerspumpsboilersfurnaces utilitiesgeneratorstransformersHVAC systemsand water treatment units
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of utilities to meltingcastingannealingfinishingand coating sections
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and coordinate quick corrective actions

Energy Resource Management

• Monitor and optimize energy consumptionelectricitywatergasdieselcompressed air
• Conduct energy audits and recommend cost-saving measures
• Reduce downtime and improve system efficiency using KPIs

Safety Compliance

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Industrial or Utilities Engineering 5 10 years of experience in heavy manufacturing preferred ductile iron pipes steel foundry metallurgical plants or similar Experience in preventive and preventive maintenance systems CMMS.

Work Environment
