Job summary

AECOM is recruiting a Planning Lead in Riyadh to develop and oversee planning and scheduling for major infrastructure projects. You will advise on technical specialties and manage IE-related planning issues on a senior level.

Lead planning teams, engage with councils and officials, and produce critical reports. This role emphasizes delivery, compliance, and strategic advisory on complex infrastructure programs in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree is preferred but not essential.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, AACE International Certification (advantageous), Primavera P6 Certification.

Job Description
  • Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others.
  • Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed planning products.
  • Usually performs as a staff advisor and consultant as to a technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws.
  • Oversees specialized planning functions, such as large-scale new development proposals and environmental studies.
  • Provides overall management of IE-related planning issues.
  • Advises the Planning Director on all planning-related matters.
  • Advises various councils, boards, commissions and elected officials in planning related issues
  • Evaluates operations and activities of assigned responsibilities.
  • Prepares reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree is preferred but not essential.
  • Professional certifications such as:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • AACE International Certification (advantageous)
  • Primavera P6 Certification
  • Typically 12+ years of planning and scheduling experience, with at least 5 years in a lead or management position.
  • Extensive experience in major infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, or engineering projects.
