Job summary

ENGIE Laborelec invites a High Voltage Underground Cable Expert to Saudi Arabia to support asset inspection, health index estimation and maintenance planning for critical HV networks. You will collaborate with client teams, challenge OEM recommendations, and provide field advisory while visiting sites with the maintenance staff, with a focus on 33kV to 400kV systems.

The role demands a Master’s in electrical engineering, 5+ years of project experience, fluency in English, and hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple HV projects.
• European study or work experience in a European Grid operator is preferred.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the client on asset inspection and health index estimation.
• Recommend predictive and reactive maintenance based on asset condition.
• Assist client during major incidents with repair/restoration recommendations.
• Challenge OEM recommendations and support client during repairs.
• Collaborate with Headquarter to study major equipment failures.
• Serve as field technical advisor on HV equipment for the client.
• This role requires site visits with the client maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Support the client on asset inspection and health index estimation
• Recommend predictive and reactive maintenance activities based on the condition of the client assets.
• Support client during major incident by providing recommendation to repairs or restore failing equipment
• Challenge OEM on the recommendation given to our client and support client during repairs activities
• Collaborate with Headquarter colleagues to study or analyse major equipment failures
• Serve as specific field’s expert technical advisor for our client on the subject matters

This assignment will require the experts to visit the sites jointly with the client maintenance team.

Profile

• A master degree (or equivalent) with a good general understanding of electrical assets
• A minimum of 5 years experiences in managing multiple projects
• A European experience, your either did your studies in Europe or have a professional experience at an European Grid operator.
• Problem-Solving skills and analytical thinking
• You are fluent in English
• Hands on Experience in equipment condition monitoring and maintenance.
• The ideal profile would tested, assessed and preferably in a utility, an OEM or Maintenance company.
• Worked on high voltage equipment (33KV upto 400KV)
