Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Traffic and Detour Inspector to support its Infrastructure Division in Riyadh. The role focuses on on-site traffic management for roads, highways, bridges and tunnels within urban settings.

You will coordinate detours, temporary measures, and all related technical aspects across the worksite. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with Transport/Traffic specialization and have 7+ years of mega construction project experience, especially in traffic management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Transport or Traffic Management specialization.
• 7+ years of experience in mega construction projects focusing on onsite traffic management.
• Familiarity with local codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Proficient in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Strong report writing, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in a multinational environment.

Responsibilities

• Technical control of traffic management proposals during construction and final state for highway schemes.
• Coordinate with discipline specialists and quality control personnel.
• Address design issues and changes.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, materials and design submissions.
• Final review of contractor drawings, schedules and materials to meet design concepts.
• Assess and report on Value Engineering proposals.
• Coordinate with other supervision services team.

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Traffic and Detour Inspector to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh.

This opportunity lies within our Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in working on Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all technical aspects related to detours, temporary traffic measures, intra-site traffic management, man-machine interfaces and all related matters throughout the worksite.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Main descriptions of the job position:

• Technical control of all traffic management proposals during construction as well as “final state” for highway schemes as well as coordination of all other discipline specialists and persons responsible for quality control.
• Amplifies or resolves design issues and changes.
• Oversees and coordinates the review of the Contractor’s technical submissions, shop drawings, materials, and design submissions.
• Final review of all Contractor’s review drawings, schedules, or materials submittals to ensure compliance with the overall objectives of the design concepts of the project.
• Assessment and technical reporting on any Value Engineering proposals.
• Coordination with any other supervision services team.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with the relevant specialty/majoring in Transport or Traffic Management and/or equivalent work experience.
• Applicable Experience: over 7 years in mega construction projects, with a focus on onsite traffic management.
• Understanding of construction, design and engineering principles.
• Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency level of English language. Arabic Language is a plus.
• Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
• Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.

Additional requirements:

• Transferable Iqama in case of non-Saudi.
