Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Software Test Manager to lead end-to-end testing for telecom applications. You will drive QA strategy, manage both manual and automated testing, and coordinate with stakeholders across OSS/BSS, CRM, and provisioning systems.

The role requires 10+ years in software testing, with 4+ years in a management position, and strong expertise in Agile, DevOps, and test automation tools. Telecom domain expertise is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software testing with at least 4+ years as a Test Manager.
• Mandatory Telecommunications domain experience (OSS/BSS, CRM, Billing, Provisioning, NOC).
• Strong knowledge of API, Database, and Integration testing.
• Experience with test management tools and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement test strategies, plans, and methodologies.
• Lead and manage QA teams, including manual and automation testers.
• Oversee SIT, System, Regression, UAT and End-to-End testing.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, PMs, developers and vendors.
• Manage defect lifecycle, risk assessment and mitigation plans.
• Drive test automation and continuous testing practices.
• Establish QA metrics, KPIs and quality benchmarks.
