Job summary

KBE INTERNATIONAL in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our HVAC team. You will work with Sales Engineers to identify suitable HVAC systems, develop proposals, and ensure technical accuracy across designs and submittals.

The role emphasizes coordinating with internal teams, reviewing specs, and maintaining technical documentation to support project bids. A Mechanical Engineering background with CAD experience is essential, with 1–3 years in HVAC or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in HVAC design, system selection, and equipment sizing preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sales Engineers in identifying and recommending HVAC systems based on client needs and site conditions.
• Prepare technical proposals, system designs, and product specifications.
• Provide technical expertise on HVAC installation, operation, and performance for quotations.
• Review project specifications and drawings to ensure HVAC solutions meet client needs.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and submittals for bids and proposals.
• Support in operation and maintenance manuals and product datasheets.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure technical aspects are executed.
• Maintain records of technical discussions and design calculations.
• Track project status and document deliverables.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Support to Sales Engineers:

• Assist Sales Engineers in identifying and recommending suitable HVAC systems based on customer requirements, budget, and site conditions.
• Help in the preparation of technical proposals, system designs, and product specifications.
• Provide technical expertise in HVAC system installation, operation, and performance to ensure accurate quotations and proposals.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents to ensure that HVAC solutions meet client needs.

Technical Documentation and Submittals:

• Assist in preparing detailed technical documentation and submittals for project bids and proposals.
• Provide support in the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals, product datasheets, and technical documentation for clients and contractors.

Coordination with Internal Teams:

• Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure that the technical aspects of HVAC projects are properly executed.
• Provide technical input for project planning, delivery schedules, and implementation.
• Assist in managing timelines and ensuring the timely submission of project deliverables.

Reporting and Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of technical discussions, design calculations, and other engineering documentation.
• Track the status of ongoing projects and ensure proper documentation is available for reference.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Good knowledge of technical submittals, specifications, and product selection.
• 1-3 years of experience in a technical support or engineering role within the HVAC industry.
• Experience with HVAC design, system selection, and equipment sizing is preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) or other engineering design tools is beneficial.
