Job summary

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in roads, infrastructure and utility projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Shop Drawings and As-Built Drawings for roads and infrastructure works.
• Develop layouts, profiles, cross-sections, and grading drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Calculate excavation and backfilling quantities and prepare BOQs and quantity take-offs.
• Review payment certificates against approved quantities and site progress.
• Process surveying data in SDR, TXT, and Excel formats.
• Create TIN/DTM Surfaces and determine excavation depths.
• Prepare stakeout coordinates for pipelines, manholes, and structures.
• Coordinate between water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, electrical, and telecom networks to resolve clashes.
• Prepare and follow up on technical reports, submittals, and drawing approvals.
• Coordinate with site engineers, surveyors, consultants, and other project disciplines.
• Ensure technical deliverables comply with drawings, specifications, codes and contract requirements.
• Maintain organized technical records and project documentation.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Office Engineer with a strong background in roads, infrastructure, and utility networks. The role requires solid technical expertise in preparing and reviewing construction drawings, quantity take-offs, surveying data, and utility coordination while ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Shop Drawings and As-Built Drawings for roads and infrastructure works.
• Develop and modify layouts, profiles, cross-sections, and grading drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Calculate excavation and backfilling quantities and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and quantity take-offs.
• Review contractor and supplier payment certificates against approved quantities and actual site progress.
• Receive and process surveying data in SDR, TXT, and Excel formats.
• Create natural ground and design surfaces (TIN/DTM Surfaces) and determine excavation depths and formation levels.
• Prepare stakeout coordinates for pipelines, manholes, chambers, and other structures.
• Review survey and As-Built reports and compare actual site levels with approved design levels.
• Coordinate between water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, electrical, and telecommunications networks to identify and resolve clashes.
• Prepare and follow up on technical reports, material submittals, and drawing approvals with the consultant and client.
• Coordinate closely with site engineers, surveyors, consultants, and other project disciplines.
• Ensure all technical deliverables comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and contractual requirements.
• Maintain organized technical records, drawings, calculations, and project documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in technical office roles within roads, infrastructure, and utility projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Proven experience in preparing Shop Drawings, As-Built Drawings, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
• Good working knowledge of WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, SewerCAD/SewerGEMS, and Global Mapper.
• Strong knowledge of surveying data, coordinate systems, surface modeling, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Good understanding of local and international codes, technical specifications, and contract requirements.
• Strong coordination, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
