Job summary

Egis Group is seeking a Principal Engineer in Wet Utilities to lead and deliver complex infrastructure projects in the region. You will guide technical direction, mentor teams, and ensure projects meet client expectations and industry standards.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and contribute to business development through strong client engagement and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• PE license or equivalent certification.
• 8+ years of Wet Utilities experience leading complex projects.
• Experience in design of Wet Utilities including potable water, sewer, storm, irrigation, district cooling, and firefighting.
• Working knowledge of EPANET, WaterCAD, InfoWorks, SewerCAD, StormCAD and SWMM.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation, MicroDrainage and HAMMER is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of Wet Utilities across projects, ensuring standards compliance.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships as primary contact for major projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• Manage budgets, resources, and schedules; report on status and performance to senior management.
• Prepare design reports, calculations, and documentation; design using Civil 3D in BIM environments.
• Assist in managing infrastructure projects and support senior engineers and project leaders.

About the Role

As a Principal Engineer in Wet Utilities within our Infrastructure, you will lead high-profile projects, ensure technical excellence, and maintain strong client relationships. You will provide strategic direction, mentor junior engineers, and drive the successful delivery of complex Infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of Wet Utilities for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong, productive client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for major projects.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules, ensuring optimal utilization and financial performance. Provide regular reports on project status, technical performance, and team development to senior management.
• Prepare reports calculations and design documentation
• Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment.
• Assist in managing Infrastructure projects, supporting senior engineers and project leaders in delivering successful outcomes.

What do we need from you

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related engineering field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Wet Utilities with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
• Extensive experience in design of Wet Utilities including Potable Water, Sewer, Storm, Irrigation, District cooling, and Firefighting.
• WorkingknowledgeofrelevantsoftwarepackageslikeEPANET,WaterCAD, InfoWorks,SewerCAD,StormCAD andSWMM.
• Experienceandfamiliaritywiththefollowingprogramsisaplus:ArcGIS,MicroStation, MicroDrainage,HAMMER.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
