Job summary

KEO International is seeking a highly experienced Technical Manager - MEP for a major high-rise project in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. You will lead the technical team, coordinate with planning, procurement, and construction, and ensure designs meet client and code requirements.

The ideal candidate has at least 15 years in mechanical or electrical engineering, with a strong track record in technical PMC roles on high-rise developments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of career experience in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Excellent experience in a previous technical PMC role with high-rise experience.
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the technical team across planning, procurement, and construction.
• Review and approve architectural and engineering designs for compliance with client requirements and standards.
• Monitor all technical aspects of construction to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Provide expert consultancy and technical advice to the project team and clients.
• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion.
• Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, international standards, and sustainability practices.
• Oversee QA/QC procedures and maintain high-quality workmanship.
• Mentor and develop the technical team; foster collaboration and high performance.
• Develop client relationships to enhance opportunities and business initiatives.

Our newest opportunity is for a talented T echnical Manager - MEP to join our award-winning team based in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager - MEP to lead and oversee the technical aspects of a large-scale high-rise construction project in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for ensuring that all technical operations, design, and implementation meet the highest standards and are delivered on time and within budget.

We envisage success in this role to include:

• Managing the technical team and coordinate with other departments such as planning, procurement, and construction to ensure smooth project execution.
• Overseeing the development, review, and approval of architectural and engineering designs to ensure compliance with the client’s requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
• Monitoring and controling all technical aspects of the construction process, ensuring the quality of work meets project specifications and standards.
• Providing expert consultancy and technical advice to both the project team and clients, resolving any design or construction challenges.
• Identifying technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the timely completion of the project with minimal disruptions.
• Liaising with key stakeholders including clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Ensuring all work complies with local building codes, international standards, and sustainability practices.
• Overseeing the allocation of resources, monitor project budgets, and ensure cost-effective solutions for the project’s technical needs.
• Establishing and maintain rigorous quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of work are maintained throughout the project.
• Mentoring, guiding, and managing the technical team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Developing and maintaining client relationships enhancing opportunities and business initiatives.
• Overseeing the technical aspects of all projects and to work with the PMs and other disciplines to ensure designs within the discipline are in line with the project scope, standards and regulations, budget and client goals.
• Ensuring that the project design and technical details are carried out to suitable standards for quality as defined in the Project Execution Plan, by taking an active role in the QA/QC procedures for the client within the discipline.
• Attending and chairing workshops with consultants and contractors, prepares meeting minutes and follows up to achieve identified actions.
• Advising client on all technical matters pertaining to cost, scope and schedule.
• Ensuring work is conducted with quality assurance protocols.
• Identifies and resolves issues, including management, technical or administrative, to ensure that the project objectives are achieved.

Qualifications
