Job summary

Dar, the founding member of the Sidara group, is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee all technical aspects of a major roads and bridges project in Saudi Arabia. You will serve as the key technical authority, leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure design, construction, and supervision meet project requirements and engineering standards.

The role requires 15+ years of experience in highway or bridge projects, knowledge of international design codes (AASHTO, BS, EN), and a PMC/supervision

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in major road or bridge infrastructure projects.
• Proven design, supervision, and construction management of bridges and highways.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards (AASHTO, BS, EN, etc.).
• PMC / Supervision consultancy experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certification (PMP, Chartered Engineer, PE) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all technical activities among supervision team, design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Review and approve technical submittals, drawings, and design changes to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Provide expert advice on complex engineering issues related to roads, bridges, and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure timely resolution of technical queries (RFI) and non-conformance reports (NCR).
• Coordinate with design consultants and contractors to address discrepancies between design and site conditions.
• Monitor implementation of approved construction methodologies and quality control procedures.
• Support the supervision team in reviewing test results, materials approvals, and method statements.
• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with project specifications, codes, and best practices.
• Liaise with the Client, PMO, design consultants, and contractors to ensure clear communication and alignment on technical matters.
• Participate in technical meetings and progress reviews, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate with discipline leads (civil, structural, geotechnical, materials, etc.) to ensure technical integration across project components.
• Prepare and review technical reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all technical decisions, approvals, and changes.
