Job summary

Dar in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Electrical Inspector to supervise and review electrical works on infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications and standards.

You will review designs and shop drawings, supervise installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems including power, lighting, earthing and LV systems, and monitor safety and quality across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical inspection.
• Proven experience reviewing electrical designs and shop drawings.
• Must have experience working in roads, bridges, and tunnels projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEC, NFPA, SEC, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide feedback on electrical design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and LV systems.
• Monitor site execution to ensure adherence to approved construction methodologies and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections, witness testing, and verify contractor compliance with project specifications.
• Review technical correspondences, RFIs, and submittals, providing timely professional input.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges in coordination with design and construction teams.
• Ensure that all electrical works meet required standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
