Job summary

AS Contracting Co. is hiring a Technical Electrical Engineer for a High Voltage Substation Project. The role covers design, equipment procurement support, and field testing and commissioning.

You will liaise with clients, consultants, and manufacturers to ensure substation designs meet SEC/SWCC standards and project specifications. Site data collection and interface drawings will be part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in HV substation design and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with SEC/SWCC design standards preferred.
• Strong coordination with clients, consultants, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement substation design and equipment design for major projects.
• Support procurement activities for major HV equipment and site construction support.
• Coordinate with clients, design consultants and manufacturers for compliance with standards.
• Review drawings, data schedules, and vendor submittals against specifications and standards.
• Provide technical support for primary and secondary drawings and calculations.
• Prepare and review interface drawings and cable schedules for scheme layouts.
• Review BOQ, submittals, and vendor drawings with subcontractors and vendors.
• Arrange site visits and collect required project data.

About the job Technical Electrical Engineer

We are hiring for the position ofTechnical Electrical Engineer for High Voltage Substation Project

Job Description:

1. Develop and implement Substation design, Equipment design, Support services for procurements of major equipment's and support services for construction activities at site including testing and commissioning.

2. To develop and implement of all activities required for design of substations and procurement of all major equipment/material like power transformer, GIS , MV SWGR, Relay and control panels, high voltage cables and its termination, Battery and Battery charger system and other materials.

3. Coordination and attend meeting with client, Design consultant and various equipment manufacturer to ensure the substation design and the equipment as per SEC / SWCC substation design standard and material specification of SEC and specific scope of work.

4. Review of all drawings, data schedule from manufacturer/ Supplier of the equipment and check with compliments with SEC / SWCC material specification and Project technical specification

5. Technical support for design, engineering, of primary & secondary drawings and calculations complying with projects specifications and standards

6. Preparing and review interface Dwgs and cable schedules for all the S/S Schematics Detail design (LCC, SWGR, PROTECTION, CONTROL, AC/DC and SAS)

7. Review BOQ, Submittal, technical specification and vendor drawings with sub-contractor/ vendors for various substations projects.

8. Arranging Site visit and collecting the required data.
