Job summary

Total Safety in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a proactive Purchasing professional to optimize supplier selections, negotiate prices and ensure timely PO placement. You will collaborate with production and logistics teams to align deliveries with customer needs and company goals.

The role focuses on cost efficiency, supplier performance monitoring, and expanding the use of purchasing systems to maximize discounts and on-time shipments. Experience with local regulations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business Administration or relevant field.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Knowledge and experience of local regulations related to Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Ensure best price, delivery and quality for the company through effective purchasing.
• Place POs in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and negotiate discounts where possible.
• Determine cost-effective quantities and bulk purchases to secure discounts and avoid excessive shipping charges.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality and on-time delivery and liaise with supplier to address issues.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers.
• Liaise with staff responsible for production and materials control to ensure awareness of upcoming deliveries.
• Liaise with department managers to understand and meet customer needs.
• Explore and develop purchasing functionality in our system to maximize effect (e.g. PO clauses).
• Obtain quotes and select relevant transportation options (air/sea/road).
• Prepare compliant import and export documentation for all shipments.
• Maintain records on all imports and exports.
• Undertake other related duties as required.

• Obtain quotes from different suppliers and determine the most appropriate suppliers to purchase from, seeking to negotiate discounts where possible.
• Determine the most cost effective quantities to purchase items in, purchasing in bulk where appropriate in order to secure any relevant volume discounts and avoid excessive shipping charges.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality and on-time delivery and liaise with supplier to address any issues noted.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers.
• Liaise with staff responsible for production and materials control, to ensure they are aware of upcoming goods deliveries.
• Liaise with Department managers regularly to understand and help them meet customer needs.
• Explore and develop the purchasing functionality in Our system and ensure it is being used to maximum effect (e.g. implementation of PO clauses etc)
• Obtain quotes and select relevant transportation options (air/sea/road) as appropriate.
• Prepare a compliant import and export documentation for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
